I like making cards with my own mechanics, but I also like combining multiple mechanics together. My favorite color combo is red/black, and my preferred playstyle is to cheat out BIG creatures without the use of too much mana ramp. (Reanimation, putting creatures from the library onto the battlefield, etc.)

Empyreans are creatures that can be put from outside of the game into play by the use of Gateway of Legends. You can only have one of each on your sideboard, but you can have three more copies in your deck.
