Goblin Sea Raiders by Xenthori

First of all, the Pathfinder goblins are probably my favorite goblins ever (so cute!), but I love the card as a whole, as well. The effect is well-priced, and I'm a huge fan of using Megamorph to portray the ambush nature of goblins; they're not strong enough in an honest fight, so they have to sneak up on you before they can take your stuff. It's also nice to see an entry that wasn't blue.

  • Callous: 4.8

Almost, almost perfect. I withheld 0.2 points simply because it the flavourtext feels like it would've been a quotee or potentially be longer to fill out. My own personal favourite entry.

  • Suicidal_Deity: 4.1

Favourite card. Megamorph is great as an ability on this. The idea of it hiding in plain sight as nothing more than a 2/2 colorless, and then spurring forth as a pirate ship is fun. The art is fun and works well in a magic setting. It feels uncommon though, more than rare. The face up ability is obviously only effective against artifacts, and while lots of decks play one or two artifacts, it's still not a guaranteed play, it's probably gonna be used as a sideboard. It's also a little, not red. Higher toughness than power, no statics to help it out, like haste or first strike, so it's a 2/3, or a 3/4 with artifact gain. Against artifacts, this is great though. Permanent ownership of the artifact for that cost is great. So, all in all, the card works well and there is little to change without altering the whole feel of it. It's fun, which is a great selling point for a card.
