14th Amendment

All people can have citizenship—The 14th amendment was proposed because African Americans were free, but not citizens—It was ratified on July 9th, 1868—Former slaves were able to gain citizenship by birth and naturalization{line}I would keep this amendment the same, because this successfully builds upon the 13th amendment.
