8th (King's) Regiment of Foot

The 8th Foot arrived in Canada in 1768 and had
its ten companies dispersed to garrison isolated posts
on the Great Lakes: Fort Niagara (four), Fort Detroit (three), Fort Michilimackinac (two), and
Fort Oswego (one).
