Addition to Multiple Bonds

Alcohols, alkyl halides, alkanes, or alkenes are
all products (determined by reactant added).
Product also relies on the symmetry, asymmetrical
alkenes and alkynes have different groups on
either side of the multiple bond whereas
symmetrical alkenes have the same groups.
Reactants may also be symmetrical (H2) or
asymmetrical (H2O). 1+ product is possible if
both reactants are asymmetrical.
1 product is possible if 1+ reactant is symmetrical
