Alkyl Halide
Alkyl halides are alkanes where a hydrogen
atom has been replaced by a halogen (Br, Cl, I, F)
1. Name and # the parent chain
2. Add the # and the prefix for the halogen
at the beginning of the name (like a branch)
3. Name and # branches (after halogen)
*Prefixes are bromo, chloro, iodo, and fluoro
*Use di or tri for multiple halogens, and put
each carbon's #
*If multiple halogens, put in ABC order
