Anne's Red Hair

Anne's red hair symbolizes her attitude towards herself. Kids in her class make fun of her because
of her hair color. She does not like her hair at all
and even dyes it green to try to change it. She eventually has to learn to accept it because it's a
part of her.
"Gilbert reached across the aisle, picked up the end of
Anne's long red braid, held it out at arms length and
