Arresting Nazi Opponents
The Gestapo spied on German citizens to identify individuals with
contradicting political ideologies. The repercussion of opposing
the Nazi state mostly led to imprisonment, harassment, and intense
interrogation. He passed the Enabling Act, allowing the government
to pass laws without the consent of the Parliament. Hitler then
made it illegal to be part of any other political party giving him
