Bane of the Living

Whenever Bane of the Living deals combat
damage to a creature, exile that creature with
a bane counter on it. Cards with bane counters
on them can't be the target of spells and abilities.
At the beginning of each player's upkeep, that
player loses life equal to the number of creatures
they own with bane counters on them.
When Bane of the Living dies, put all cards with
bane counters on them onto the battlefield under their owner's control.
