If it's a creature card, create a black 0/1 Shade
creature token with flying and "When this
creature dies, draw a card." As long as this ability
is on the stack, players can't cast spells or activate
abilities that aren't mana abilities.

To gain admittance into the Amethyst Society,
Barolden had to create something truly unique. The
staff he created earned him that honor.
