More robust than the Brown Ulg, the Black Ulg
is also more aggressive, and its thick coat makes
it surprisingly resistant to magic but rather vulnerable to elemental damage. Ulgs are sometimes tamed by the natives of the island,
and serve as both beasts of war and guardians
of their villages.
