Bunker Hill

On June 16, 1775 about 1,200 militiamen set up fortifications on Bunker Hill and Breed's Hill. The British attacked the Americans to drive them from these strategic locations. The British drove the Americans from Bunker Hill but suffered heavy losses and realized that beating the Americans would not be easy for them to do.
