When this card is played you sludge up muck from the bottom of the lake your city is on. Living in Tenochitlan as a Mexica you are a low class farmer figuring out how to grow food on an island. This advancement allowed for the Mexica to grow their food on floating farms and allowed the city to prosper with easy access to food.
