Christmas Tree

Though many cultures have used evergreens as household decorations to celebrate winter holidays, the idea of the modern Christmas tree began in western Germany. Though the custom decorating
of evergreen trees for Christmas became popular in this area, it did not spread
outside of Germany until the 19th century.
