When Conan the Barbarian enters the battlefield, a random opponent becomes the Monarch, if there is not one already. You cannot become the Monarch this turn.

To Tread the Jeweled Thrones of the Earth: Conan has double-strike as long as he's attacking the Monarch or a plainwalker or battle the Monarch controls.

When you become the Monarch, exile Conan the Barbarian and return him to the battlefield transformed and under your control at the beginning of the next end
