Cuba’s Economic Crisis: 1950s

During Batista’s ruling, he let the standard of living in Cuba fall. This meant many Cubans were experiencing financial difficulties. Castro knew this and promised those same Cubans that he would fix the economy in Cuba. He even outlined a plan in the hopes of convincing all of the financially suffering people to support him.
