With a gleeful grin, the apprentice looked upon her foe.
"Did I get him?" She said with a wistful hope in her
voice. The assassin cleaned his blade and smiled a
broken smile on what was left of his face.
"Yes, child." He said as he patted the apprentice on
her head. "'Twas nary a blade as sharp as yours that
could bring this one down. Well done."
