Daniel Rees Warren Sr. was born in Liberty, GA,
the son of Revolutionary War soldier John
Warren Jr. He is named after Rees Perkins, his
grandfather, a planter. In 1810, his family came
to Mississippi - 2 adults, 2 children, and 7 slaves.
He wed Martha in 1820, and died in 1841; he is
buried in Warren Cemetery in Sandy Hook, M
