Delilah Cumi Walker was born in Cherokee, TX,
the youngest daughter of Hiram and Judah. She
was only 7 years old when her mother died, and
at 18, she wed Henry, and became a mother. She
would give birth to 11 babies in her lifetime; 9
survived childhood. Delilah lived to be 62: she
passed away in Olustee, Oklahoma, in 1909.
