Desertification

When Desertification enters the battlefield, place a charge counter on up to X target lands.
Lands with charge counters are Deserts, have "Pay 1 life, remove a charge counter from this permanent: Add one mana of any color," and lose all other types and abilities.
Whenever there is no charge counter on any land on the battlefield, return Desertification to its owner's hand.
