on the battlefield or in the command zone under
your control, you gain a blood counter. Edgar
costs X less to cast where X is the number of
blood counters you have. If you have ten or
more blood counters, Edgar is a vampire in
addition to its other creature types and has
lifelink.

your number of blood counters.
