Edward Jenner
Edward Jenner was a British physician and scientist Born in 1749 in
the
UK and died in 1823 in the UK. Edward Jenner invented the vaccine
for smallpox
using cowpox fluid.
•Fun Fact: The technique of introducing material
under the skin to produce protection against disease became
universally known as vaccination, a word derived
from the Latin name for the cow (vacca), in
Jenner's honour.
