Counter target noncreature spell unless its controller pays {3}. If Elemental Blast was kicked, it deals 3 damage to target creature or player and you put a 3/3 green Elemental creature token onto the battlefield.
Some mages eschewed devotion to a single school of elemental magic in favor of mastering well-known spells from all three.
