+1: put a +1/+1 counter on target creature. then choose to place a -1/-1 counter on the target horror or nightmare or lose 1 madness counter.
-2: target permanent or spell gains protection the color of your choice until end of turn. you lose 2 madness counters.
-5: you lose all your madness counters and gain that same amount of life. distribute 3 +1/+1 counters among creatures you control.
