When Eshonai, First Contact enters, each opponent loses X life, where X is your devotion to black. You gain life equal to the life lost this way.

Eshonai believes that she is personally responsible for the War of Reckoning because she was the first to make contact with the Alethi. While she fights the Alethi out of necessity, she would prefer,
and even attempts, to negotiate a peace with them.
