Ever-Ascending Umbilicus

At the beginning of each player's end step,
that player may pay 2 life. If they do, they
may put a permanent card from their hand
on the battlefield tapped.
The explorers, safe within Umbilicus' shells they managed to repair, were no longer haunted by
the death of their comrades...until they realized
where the phyrexian machine was leading them.
