You summon a spirit that assumes the form that you choose. The steed has the stats of the chosen form, though it is a celestial, fey, or fiend. Also if your steed has an Int. of 5 or less, its Int. becomes 6, and it understands one language of your choice that you speak. Your steed serves you as a mount and you fight as a seamless unit. While mounted spells you cast that target only you also target your steed.
