As long as you're the monarch, Imperials you control have double strike.

Whenever Gideon Hask deals combat damage
to a player, that player may gain Imperial Favour. If they do, they reveal the card they drew. If that cards mana value is more than Gideon's power, put a +1/+1 counter on him.
If it's less, make a 1/1 black Imperial Inferno creature token. Otherwise, create a treasure. This triggers only once each turn.
