Creature, planeswalker, and land cards cannot be sent to or return from the graveyard or exile from a player’s hand, library or the battlefield. If this would occur, the owner of the card instead chooses to tap that card or shuffle it into their library. Any cost effects attached to a discard or exile effect stopped in this manner are cancelled as well, unless the owner of the effect occurring pays {2}.
