Hanging of the Maids

- After Odysseus returns from his 20-
year voyage, he kills the suitors and hangs the
maids to death, because of their wrongdoings and incompetence.
- However, the maids being rude were a misunderstanding, as it was a part of Penelope's
scheme and orders. They were not responsible for
their deaths.
"...and to show that he knew better- he was at that age- hanged them all in a row from a ship's hawser."
