Whenever a source would deal damage to He Who Forgives or cause you to lose life, you may have that source's controller gain five life. If you do, put a soul counter on He Who Forgives.
When He Who Forgives dies, if it had a soul counter on it, return it to the battlefield transformed under its owner's control.
