Heisenberg was born in Wurzburg, Germany. Before
his uncertainty principle, he published a work in 1925, Quantum theoretical re-interpretation of kinematic and mechanical relations, which was a breakthrough in
quantum mechanics at the time. He won the Nobel
Prize in 1932 in physics. Heisenberg enjoyed classical
music and was a talented pianist.
