Hernán Cortés

{b}Hernán Cortés (1485-1547) was a Spanish conquistador who led the expedition that
caused the fall of the Aztec Empire.
Arriving in Mexico in 1519, he formed alliances with indigenous groups and captured Tenochtitlán in 1521, establishing Spanish rule
in the region and significantly influencing the history of the Americas.
