History Will Absolve Me Speech

Before his trial for the barracks attack, Castro wrote his “History Will Absolve Me” speech. This speech was meant to convince both the court and the Cuban people that Castro’s cause was just. Castro promised that his revolution would bring change and prosperity to Cuba. This speech proved successful as it reduced his prison sentence significantly.
