The Royal Family of the Eternal Empire is divided into three powerful Houses - Solaris, Stellaris and Lunaris -, each of which provides a consort for the Emperor so that the Imperial bloodline may be furthered. At the end of their reign, the ruling monarch will choose a successor from amongst their nine sons and daughters, who will have to embrace the colour of mana which they lack to ascend to the throne.
