A hunter-seeker is a tool used for assassination. Paul encountered one in his bedroom on Arrakis, remembering, "It could burrow into moving flesh and
chew its way up nerve channels to the nearest vital
organ" (Herbert, 108). The hunter-seeker is a floating needle-like machine, controlled remotely by a nearby operator.
