Ibn Battuta - 1304 to 1368

Ibn Battuta is not as famous as Marco Polo, but
Battuta traveled further than him.
He traveled by foot, sea, and camel caravans,
going through 40 modern-day countries.
He wrote his adventures in the Rihla, but he
may have copied other people's journeys.
Battuta was a Muslim and he took the pilgrimage
to Mecca, his hajj, starting in 1325.
Fun Fact: He never traveled any road twice.
