Icarus’s power is equal to your devotion to white. (Each {W} in the mana costs of permanents you control counts toward your devotion to white.) When Icarus, Winged Genius enters put 4 doom counters on him. At the beginning of your upkeep remove a doom counter from Icarus, if there are no doom counter on Icarus sacrifice him then return him transformed under your control.
