The civilisation there has always had material life entwined with that of Dreaming - the act of stepping into a world of unbounded wonder through a specific form of sleeping -, paying equal heed to both aspects of existence. But in recent years, as the real world has grown increasingly ridden with war and destruction, the Ilkayan people have begun to forsake it more and more.
