Jack did not have it easy from the start. Being the bastard child of Lord Eric and watching his mother get killed by the Lords guards ordered by the Lords Countess. He went into hiding until he was saved by a Thief Mathias from a thieving guild and taught him everything he knew. But not what he is getting himself into by going after the Goddess Runes.
