(Lived from 1578 to 1625)-Schooled in Italian and Spanish, He endured racism as a Scot under English rule. -Years after his death, detractors tried to sully his good name. -King James was sickly having crippling arthritis, weak limbs, and a number of other chronic illnesses. Coupled with numerous attempts on his life, he required constant attention and care.
