The Blaikie family were farmers who emigrated
from Scotland aboard the 'Lovely Nelly,' landing
in P.E.I. in 1775. When their settlement failed,
they left for Nova Scotia, and Janet was born in
1809. She wed William of Upper Musquoboit at
22, and they had 6 children. Janet died at 51; she
is buried near Benvie Hill.(Benvie Falls pictured)
