John Adair

John McNeil Adair was born in Dumfries, Ont.,
the son of a sea captain and merchant. His family
came from Scotland to Canada around 1833.
He married Elizabeth Keachie in 1867, and they
had 5 children together before she passed away
in 1885. He remarried in 1887, raised one more
son, in Cambridge, and died there of stroke, at 80.
