John J. Williams

John J. Williams was famous for being the
last fatality in the American Civil War.
Even though he was at the rank that was
as low as a Private, his grave marked the
end of the bloodiest battle in American
history. With that, the Civil War ended,
and he was buried with care at the
Alexandria National Cemetery.
