King Henry VIII of England was a troubled king who wanted to divorce Catherine of Aragon. The pope did not allow it, so he created his own church: The Church of England. Also, both Anne Boleyn (the mother of Elizabeth I) and Catherine Howard were beheaded by Henry VIII for failing to produce a male heir.
