A French naturalist who wrote Philosophie Zoologique .
First to suggest a mechanism for evolution, where acquired traits could be inherited and use/disuse of organs can lead to them developing/dissapering.
Incorrect as acquired traits can't be passed on as they are not coded in genes, traits cannot be obtained in a lifetime, and organs can't disappear of disuse.
