Margaret Mary Redmond was born in Dean, NS,
the 12th child born to John, her Irish migrant
father, and Mary, her Scottish mother. The
family came to Nova Scotia ~1820. At 23, she
wed Matthew, and they settled to farm in Upper
Musquodoboit. Little is known of Margaret's life:
she died at 28, after bearing a son and a daughter.
