Whenever an insect creature you control becomes the target of an instant or sorcery spell sacrifice it, if you do you may have that insect deal 1 damage to target creature, then the controller of the spell exiles it from his or hers graveyard.
A deep hatred is what connects the infected, a deep hatred towards the living, the dead, and in general anything that ins't them.
