Mary Wollstonecraft was an eighteenth-century British writer, philosopher, and advocate of women's rights. 1759-1797. Her novel "Vindication of Rights of Woman" in 1792 argued the subjection of women to
men was the same wrongness as the relationships of slave owners to slaves or monarchs to subjects. She also argued women should have equal rights in economic and political life.
