Mass Production

Ford Motor Company popularized the idea
of mass production. Instead of having skilled workers build the whole car, every step was
done by a different person on an assembly
line. This meant that products of all varieties could be produced on a much larger scale.
"Not mass production but production by the masses." - E.F. Shumacher
